[Every day, Watson goes on at least two patrols: one short round through the cleared areas and the edges of known territory, then one that takes him very far out into the jungle and the building, far past the edges of the map. Always with a portal at his back to get him home in case of danger, of course; the only one bound to notice his speedy return is Sherlock, who likely figured out the whole Shade thing within a day of it occurring.

He's out in the wild right now, his phone serving as a makeshift torch. Every now and then he stoops to nudge a human-sized lump of foliage, only to come up again disappointed.]
